Year 9 Visual Arts

Year 9 Visual Arts is an elective course, where students study Visual Arts for five periods a cycle in year 9. With two classes of 24 students it has been a busy and productive year with everyone staying busy and engaged exploring different media types.

Still Life

This year students started their stage 5 course by studying composition, drawing still life objects then mixed media collage.

Then this understanding was applied to lino prints, using seed pods as inspiration, which were also also used to create some intricate sculptures.
