Year 9 Songwriting PBL
A new addition to the CAPA faculty this year was the "Songwriting" PBL. Students in both semesters one and two worked with Miss Bergersen to write, rehearse, record and perform a song of their very own. The course worked towards a showcase of the project in a Battle of the Bands competition held at lunchtime with a live audience and extra special judges!

In terms two and four, students and staff flocked to the school hall to listen to the original masterpieces. Bands received feedback from a very special panel including St Ives Staff members and special guest/ex-student, Peter from the band "Day Release".
Congratulations to students from "The Crusaders", "RetroRoadtrip", “PopRocks” and “Daybreak” for their hard work and perseverance in learning new skills. It was exciting and impressive to watch them perform a song that they wrote all by themselves in front of a large audience.​
