Year 9 Photography

Year 9 Photography students explored the theme of Shapes and Shadows in their exploration of photographic composition. By using unusual viewpoints and dramatic tonal contrasts while focusing on the Rule of Thirds in their photographs, students created outstanding photographic images.

 

Some of the examples illustrated here include arranging objects to create a dramatic still life using spot lighting; experimenting with water and glass to create distorted images; creating photographs based on a concept such as ‘Blue/Blew’ and ‘Imagine’; and digital manipulations of imagery using Photoshop layers and blends.
