Year 8 Visual Design

Year 8 is an elective course which teaches students about the design process. They learn to create “art with a purpose” making objects that have a function as well as analyse the reasons for their success. They then use an informed point of view when developing responses to design briefs.

Scroll down and have a look at all of their wonderful creations!

Clocks

Some of the examples created by Year 8 Visual Design students include a wooden base clock illustrated with a design based on imagination and fantasy.

Animalia

Later in the year, students created a book illustration based on animal alliterations that were compiled and published in a keepsake book.

Bookmarks

Students also created bookmarks using black scratch board with mandala-style etched designs and weighted with a wooden bead.
