Year 8 Visual Design
Year 8 is an elective course which teaches students about the design process. They learn to create “art with a purpose” making objects that have a function as well as analyse the reasons for their success. They then use an informed point of view when developing responses to design briefs.

Kites
A cultural theme was the brief for student kites, and they were completed in time to fly them in the last week of school.
Clocks
Some of the examples created by Year 8 Visual Design students include a wooden base clock illustrated with a design based on imagination and fantasy.
Canvas Shoes and Posters
Students had fun designing and painting canvas shoes based on an urban theme. Additionally they designed an advertisement for their product!
Stationery
Using simple coloured papers, cut or torn, students created their own stationery range
