Year 10 Photography

Year 10 Photo media is the second of a two-year elective. Students learn advanced techniques with the camera, using more editing tools and extending possibilities in Photoshop.
Film making is also explored.

Year 10 Photography and Digital Media students explore portraiture and postmodernism in their digital work. The photography unit includes creating portraits in natural and studio-based lighting environments using experimental projections and artificial coloured lighting.

Students explore surreal digital illustrations using imaginative Photoshop techniques to create transformations in portraiture. The surreal concept is extended into time-based forms where students create a music video or animation using special effects and layer blends.

For the postmodern unit of work, students explore contemporary photography and techniques, including appropriation and illusion.
